These bath salts were made for the Muchachaen company, and are enthused with the rind of the amanatsu citrus.

Founded in the 1970s as a collective of local farmers, Muchachaen has grown into a local enterprise with a social purpose.

Exploring the heritage and possibilities of historic citrus cultivation in the western region of Ehime, the range items under the Muchachaen or Yaetoco brands, aim to put something back to the community in which their fruit was grown.

Blessed with sunshine, Ehime is known for citruses.  The amanatsu (also known as natsu mikan), is a large orange type fruit that is the pride of several parts of western Japan.  One place is Ehime and the amanatsu are grown for individual consumption and for juicing.  In the later scenario skins can be wasted, but here they are distilled for their oils, and enthused into these bath salts.  The aim is to recreate the smell of a just peeled citrus, and a luxurious, juicy moment in the bath.

The box is 14.7cm by 8.7cm.  It weighs 300g.

The boxes contain 5 sachets weighing 50g each.

The makers recommend adding the salts before entering the bath, and not doing so if you have allergies to any of the ingredients.

Ingredients: Sea Salt, Potassium Alum, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Citrus Natsudaidai Peel Extract, Pearl Powder, Chinpi(JPN), Citrus medica var. sarcodactylis Peel and Honey
